Abstract: This study explores the role of professional associations in enhancing vocational education in Nigeria, examining their contributions to curriculum development, standards setting, and industry engagement. Professional associations play a critical role in shaping vocational education by providing expertise, networking opportunities, and professional development resources for educators and practitioners. The research aims to (1) assess the impact of professional associations on vocational curriculum quality and relevance, (2) analyze collaborations between associations, educational institutions, and industries in advancing vocational training, and (3) propose strategies for strengthening the role of professional associations in vocational education policy and practice. A survey research design is justified to gather perspectives from association members, educators, and industry leaders. A sample size of 400 participants will be selected through purposive sampling to represent members of professional associations and vocational educators in Ogun State. Case studies will examine successful partnerships and initiatives led by professional associations. Findings indicated that professional associations enhance curriculum alignment with industry standards, promote continuous professional development, and facilitate industry-relevant certifications. Recommendations include fostering closer collaborations, expanding mentorship programs, and advocating for policy support to leverage the expertise and resources of professional associations in enhancing vocational education quality and industry relevance.
